Kids' Programs

Below are programs scheduled for youth during Spring Break, April, and May.

Baby Story Time

Saturdays: 10:30-11:00am, 4/4, 4/18, 5/2, 5/16. [Register here]

  • Books, fingerplays, cuddle time with words. Caregiver stays with children.
  • Ages 0-18 months.
  • Register with Sugar Grove Public Library District card.

 

Toddler Story Time

Tuesdays: 10:30-11:00am; 4/14, 4/28, 5/12, 5/26. [Register here]

Wednesday: 10:30-11:00am; 4/15, 4/29, 5/13, 5/27. [Register here]

  • Stories, fingerplay, rhymes, lap bounce. Caregiver stays with children
  • Ages 18 months - 3 years.
  • Register with Sugar Grove Public Library District card.

 

Preschool Story Time

Mondays: 10:30-11:10am; 4/6, 4/20, 5/4, 5/18.  [Register here]

Wednesdays: 10:30-11:10am; 4/8, 4/22, 5/6, 5/20. [Register here]

Wednesdays: 11:30am-12:10pm; 4/8, 4/22, 5/6, 5/20. [Register here]

Book Buddies: Building and Construction

Tuesday: 4:30-5:20pm 4/28 [Register here]

  • Kids bring a snack & covered beverage & participate in book discussions, art projects and more.
  • Grades K-2.

Read to Rover

Saturday, May 2: 2:00-3:00 [Register here]

  • Spend some time practicing your reading with friendly dogs from Fox Valley Therapy Dogs.
  • Grades 1-6 or able to read on their own.
  • Register Online - no library card needed.

 

Kindergarten Lego Club

Mondays: 4:30-5:30pm 4/13, 5/11 [Register here]

  • Lego activities include building, games & more. Lego materials will be provided. Creations will be displayed in the library.
  • Caregiver must stay in library.
  • Kindergarten only

Lego Club

Meet Little Critter

Saturday, April 11 at 3:00 pm [Register here]

  • Meet Little Critter, listen to stories, and join in on fun activities. Bring your cameras for this great photo op!
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Our Furry Friends

Presented by Red Oak Nature Center

Saturday, May 2 1:00-2:00pm

  • Touch pelts, see artifacts, and hear all about our furry mammal friends. A mystery mammal will make a surprise visit!
  • Drop-in —No Registration.

  • Go retro and build a fort using our Toydle Fort Building Kit.
  • Drop-in —No Registration.

 

No-Bake Snacks and Desserts

Monday, March 30: 3:00-4:00pm [Register here]

  • Learn how to make some easy snacks and desserts without using a stove or oven!
  • (Note: Peanuts or nut products may be used.)

Electronics Recycling: Just in time for Spring Cleaning!

Recycle your old electronics on May 9, 2015 from 10am-4pm in the North Parking Lot. Fill your truck, car, or even wagon and bring it to the library. There will be plenty of help to unload all your unwanted electronics. Clean out that cellar, garage or attic now! Event held in cooperation with New Life Electronics Recycling, Inc.
